WHAT IS PODIATRY? 

A Podiatrist is a health care professional who has been trained to prevent, diagnose, treat and rehabilitate abnormal conditions of the feet and lower limbs. They prevent and correct deformity, keep people mobile, relieve pain and treat infections. As a minimum an HCPC registered Podiatrist will have either a degree or a 3 year diploma in Podiatry (BSc or DPodM). When looking for a Podiatrist be sure to check the HCPC register to ensure that your treatment is provided by an appropriately qualified and regulated practitioner. 
As well as treating complex foot problems a Podiatrist is able to assist with many day-to-day foot problems including (but not limited to): 
Corns and calluses 
Dry/cracked heels 
Verrucas 
Heel Pain 
Athlete's foot 
Sports injuries 
Ingrown / Fungal toe nails 

Paul Sen BSc (Hons) MChS, HCPC registered. 

Paul is registered with the Health and Care Professionals council and Member of the Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists. Paul graduated from Southampton University with an honours degree in Podiatric medicine. Prior to Podiatry Paul gained a sports science degree with the American College of Sports science and worked in the health and fitness industry for several years. Paul believes this enables him to provide patients with a comprehensive and holistic approach to their treatment.  
 
When looking for a Chiropodist / Podiatrist be sure to check the register to ensure that your treatment is provided by an appropriately qualified and regulated practitioner. As a minimum an HCPC registered Chiropodist / Podiatrist will have either a degree or a 3 year diploma in Podiatry (BSc or DPodM). 
 
 

Mark Lejman BSc (Hons) MChS, HCPC registered 

Mark has full time NHS clinical experience as a specialist podiatrist.  
 
Mark has a broad range of clinical expertise in all foot related problems. He has a particular interest in Diabetic Foot care and as a keen sportsman himself concentrates on sports injuries and prescribing of specialist insoles (orthotics).  
Mark has also broad experience working as a Non Executive Director of Berkshire Health NHS Trust.
